Be honest and frank with yourself about your feelings.
Do not tolerate physical, emotional or sexual abuse from anyone. Get
help immediately!
Plan for your future. Set goals and objectives, then achieve them, however
large or small.
Learn how to accept thanks, compliments and praise with dignity.
Stay
involved or get involved with after-school activities-music, sports,
etc.
Read for fun on any subject you like.
If you feel overwhelmed or troubled, tell an adult you trust. Use a
Yellow Ribbon card!
Eat right, and exercise. A good meal and physical activity can improve
your outlook on life. However, severe depression requires serious professional
help.
